Hindley is a market town set in Wigan and is benefiting from the growth and resurgence of the area with its inward investment. The “feel good factor†of Wigan and its excellent run in the Premiership has also made Wigan are more famous area and attracted a great deal of interest.
Wigan is a regeneration area. The next major stage in the development of Wigan town centre will be the £80m Grand Arcade development in the Station Road area of the town. This exciting development will be opened in 2007 and will provide over 400,000 sq ft of floor space including a new Debenhams department store.
